Ingalls Avenue Baptist Church is a warm and loving fellowship of believers, which has ministered to Pascagoula and surrounding communities for more than forty years.  Ingalls Avenue is affiliated with the Mississippi Baptist Convention and the Southern Baptist Convention.

John has been serving as Pastor of Ingalls Avenue since 1999.  He is a graduate of Mobile College and New Orleans Baptist Theological Seminary.  John and his wife, Cathy, have three children and five grandchildren.


Cheryl Cochran

Director, Ingalls Avenue Baptist Daycare and Preschool

Cheryl has served on staff Ingalls Avenue since 2004.  Her love for babies and children shine through her family life, her work, and her service to church and community.  Cheryl is married to Robert "Bob" Cochran, who serves in local law enforcement and is best known to our community as "Officer Bob".  Cheryl and Bob have dedicated their lives to family, faith, and community and are both very active in youth sports, booster clubs, and local Veterans organizations.

Dawn Ankerson
Ministry Assistant

Dawn is a Pascagoula native and has worked in Sales, Management, and Administration for several local businesses for more than 10 years.  Dawn joined the IABC Staff in November 2013 and exhibits a servant's heart in her work and ministry.

Jessica Baker
Summer Children's Ministry Assistant


Jessica is a Pascagoula native and 2015 Mississippi State University graduate.  She grew up at IABC and has served in a variety of ministry capacities since her teen years.  She loves working with our children and suggests that we simply "need more cowbell" to make the world a brighter place!

Brantley Chandler
Youth Pastor

Brantley hails from Tallasee, AL.  He and Michaela were married in May 2016 and joined the IABC Staff.  They are completing their education together as they minister to Students with the IABC family.  We are thrilled to welcome this charming young couple to Pascagoula and look forward to wonderful days ahead for our Student Ministry!
